Harmonic Boost

The Tonehunter Open Range is a unique tool to push or soften those frequencies to cut through on stage or during recording. It does not only work as a simple equalizer: Its special tone design makes you push top end harmonics by adding more richness and a complex structure to the tone.

The Tonehunter Open Range will never suck your instrument's or amp's basic tone.

The shime control offers one uniqueness: it not only adds harmonics: below the 12 o'clock-position the all over tone sounds smoother without cutting the edge. That makes your overdrive and distortion pedals compatible to those amps which usually react harsh on pedals like a Twin Reverb does.

You can also adjust the bottom harmonics to get a tighter and more compressed low end behaviour, just like a tube amp does when it is pushed hard.

With just these two controls and a master pot the Tonehunter Open Range is the perfect tool for Clean Boost, Lead Boost and Exciter effects.

Hand Made And Single Matched

Every electronic unit has been selected for tonal reasons and has been sized in closest tolerances. Shortest signal paths ensure a quick signal processing and highest possible dynamics. Not least is the signal path completed by the mechanical units.

Every device is single matched by us before roll-out. This procedure icludes among other things the tonal selection of the IC's. Only by this we can offer absolutely identic sounding overdrives.
